Home Objects

The power, magic and symbolism which existed in primitive societies is a topic that has profoundly interested me and is now reflected in my current work. In this regard, the series of pieces in Home Objects are references to small objects, sculpture like, that were used in primitive societies either as ceremonial pieces or for practical means, and which share similar organic materials, references and sizes as pieces in this series. In the production of these objects I use inspiration from the unconscious as well as from emotional and biological needs. These small sculptures are born out of a feminine universe (intuitive, emotional, and archetypical) though the act of braiding, felting, weaving and using the hands in the creative process.
